Which type of coffee do you like the most? Coffee is milled, roasted, and brewed differently around the world, and each step determines the taste of the final cup. We offer you the production of all the mayor coffee types and customizes it to your preferred taste and brewing method.
We pack your coffee in bags made of recyclable plastic!
In collaboration with Poly Print we have developed a series of ground-breaking foils made of recyclable plastic, which we use for our BKI coffee bags, customized an designed to your needs.
After use, the bags can be converted into anything from garbage bags, fleece, barrels and buckets! To benefit you, your customers and the environment!
Facts about our recyclable coffee bags
- Our coffee bags are made from reusable plastic and can be recycled into new plastic products
- We now use 15% less plastic per bag
- CO2 emissions are reduced by 20-23% depending on the type of bag
- When you sort our bags as "soft plastic," you help us recycle our shared resources
SCIENCE BASED TARGETS INITIATIVE
Your coffee supplier is SBTi validated: We aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 42% by 2030
BKI foods is the first Danish-owned coffee company, to have its climate goal validated by the global climate organization, Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
This commitment obliges BKI to significantly reduce CO2 emissions over the next seven years, but "We are ready to take on the challenge", says Dorthe Maagaard, Head of Sustainability & Compliance at BKI foods.
CSR PROJECT IN BRAZIL
Project Paraíso supports local coffee farmers towards a more sustainable production
Since 2018 BKI has been collaborating with +140 coffee farmers from the Paraíso region in Brazil to promote a more sustainable coffee production.
A project that improves the livelihood of families, protect the environment, and inspire coffee farmers of the the next generation to produce more responsibly.

BKI creates coffee recipes with artificial intelligence and wins the Danish AI Award 2022
In collaboration with the Danish Technological Insitute, BKI has developed a statistical AI model that uses artificial intelligence to predict the taste of raw bean compositions and create accurate recipes for our many coffee blends.

An innovation that brought us first place at the Danish AI Awards 2022 and now is a usefull tool when creating our many coffee recipes even better and with greater flexibility.
